Banksy In Hollywood Pt.3

If his most recent tags have been any indication, Bansky isn’t done with the city of Los Angeles just yet. His latest work comes in the form of Kite, a social commentary on the harsh illegal immigration laws in California. The piece depicts a family running hand in hand across a yellow diamond, similar to the illegal immigration caution signs seen along the freeways bordering Mexico. Another piece, This Looks A Bit Like An Elephant, cleverly uses an abandoned oil tanker as wall space, turning what many considered a piece of junk into valuable artwork.

Banksy In Hollywood Pt.2

Following the discovery of a string of Banksy drawings around Los Angeles over the past couple of weeks, it appears as though the cunning street artist is back at it again. A new Banksy sketch has just been uncovered in Hollywood that depicts a young girl standing in front of a house being boarded up. In a similar vein to the sketch found in Los Angeles last week of a boy holding a machine gun in a bed of flowers, this piece also uses a black and white stencil background with pastel drawing. With the Academy Award ceremony coming up on February 27, (Banksy has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Documentary category for Exit Through the Gift Shop), who knows what else the artist has up his sleeve. Banksy In Hollywood

Coinciding with the recent hoopla and events taking place in Los Angeles, some new work from Banksy surfaced involving some signature social commentary. Charlie Brown holding a gas can as well as a gun-totting child in a field of flowers are potentially the start of several more pieces that will hopefully surface over the next few days.

Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg, Akon – Kush (Music Video)

DR. DRE is Back and this one accompanying his long-awaited single with Snoop Dogg and Akon titled, “Kush.” You’ll find Los Angeles on the backdrop with various scenes stemming from a decked out private jet onto the club filled with dancers. Not quite a street anthem, but certainly one for the dance floors. Hopefully that changes, stay tuned!
